Geometry - Topography

Our surveying service
The surveying department comprises six specialist surveyors involved in every key stage of the project: design, preparation, layout, inspection, and handover. Their work covers all geometric dimensions, including altimetry and planimetry, to guarantee the accuracy and conformity of every structure built. They work closely with site managers and project supervisors throughout the project, anticipating geometric constraints and ensuring at each phase that what is built on the ground corresponds exactly to the planned design.
From design to field: a precision chain controlled from start to finish
The surveying department supports the design office upstream of construction sites: measurements, phasing plans, sections and detailed plans are produced or checked internally, guaranteeing total consistency between design and execution.
In the office, AutoCAD and Covadis allow the production of all technical documents: execution plans, volume calculations, machine guidance files and layout files for the GPS rods of the site managers.
In the field, surveyors carry out surveys and layouts, choosing their tools according to the conditions and required precision: total station, GPS, or drone. The position of utility networks is recorded directly in open trenches, as part of our georeferencing certification.
Precision right down to the cabins...
The vast majority of excavators and bulldozers are equipped with guidance systems that transmit data remotely. Surveyors prepare files in the office that include project data, longitudinal profiles, target elevations, and planimetric layouts, which are then transmitted directly to the machines in the field.
The operator has a real-time representation in the cab of the position of his tool relative to the project, which allows him to achieve the expected levels and shapes with centimeter precision.
The acquired data is then retrieved and processed by surveyors to verify the conformity of the work and to support the execution monitoring.

A project monitored step by step
Throughout the construction project, the surveying department ensures the updating of the execution plans and ensures the conformity between the project and the reality of the ground.
Every modification, whether it be a route adjustment, a level change, or a constraint encountered during excavation, is immediately incorporated into the reference documents. The plans thus constantly reflect the actual progress of the work, providing all stakeholders with a reliable common basis.
This monitoring is based on surveyors' surveys, data from GPS poles used by site managers and data from machine guidance systems, continuously cross-referenced with the initial project.
As-built drawings: the memory of the construction site
At the end of the construction project, the department produces as-built drawings detailing all the work carried out.
These documents, submitted to the project owner and transmitted to the relevant concession holders, include the precise position of the installed networks, the altimetric and planimetric surveys as well as all modifications compared to the initial project.
Created from surveys conducted during open excavation and data collected throughout the construction project, these maps benefit from our georeferencing certification. They provide the project owner with a reliable long-term reference system, essential for any subsequent work on the networks or structures involved.
